I saw a dragonfly today......
thoroughly delighted, I relished the sight
that nature succeeds against human might,
in urban sprawl, through bottles and bags,
the little thing flew through tall yellow flags,
not far from my shoe, it lit on grass,
to soak up some sun, sparkling like broken glass.
As it went on it's way, I found myself sighing
Nature brings beauty, without even trying,
in urban decay, when we are long gone,
in our tattered leavings, life will go on.
